I love gadgets and have bought some that don't stand up to their promise but I know I can always depend on my quilter friends to steer me in the right direction. I am on my way to "Ebay" to order one. Thanks so much for the tip.

I have seen these advertised and often wondered if they worked. Thanks for the information, as I think it would come in handy for my strip and chain piecing - I have a thread cutter on my sewing machine, but it doesn't always cut right and I think this would be a useful tool to have.

Hey I have that!! I totally forgot about it until I saw this thread. I should go sew something so I can use it.

I use my machine cutter too. And here I thought I was so clever making up that idea. We both must be very clever.

I may have to buy one, as it sounds great.

My son made me one that works great using my seam ripper. Just pop the cap on when not using it to keep from poking yourself. And if I need to rip, just grab the ripper and out it comes.

Very cool. I go pretty fast using tiny scissors or a seam ripper

My machine has one too but it's not in a very easy to access spot. Not like my old machine had. This gizmo will be much more comfortable for me to use.

I have had one for a couple of years now and love it. I try to chain piece as much as possible so this maked it very easy to cut things apart.

All the machines I have sewn on for garment & now learning to quilt the thread cutter on the machines seems a bit dull to me I want to be able to just apply a very slight bit of pressure & have the machine threat cutter do the job but so far none are an easy push you have to pull hard in a downward stroke for them to work. I just grab by scissors or my rotary cutter & just push down. I've been thinking about one of these gizmo's for awhile.
