Love the blocks y'all! KalamaQuilts what a beautiful quilt! You really did a wonderful job on the setting of the stars. I've been away this week with a friend shop hopping in Central Florida. We did 36 shops in 5 days. Whew, my credit card is tired. I purchased a yard of batik in each shop. It was hard to stick to that plan. But it was the best way to build up a stash of batiks again. Here is my Mississippi, late but done! As you can see, I made a little mistake in the center and got creative.

Kalama, somehow I missed your post with your beautiful quilt. I love it--your piecing is excellent, your colors are wonderful and the quilting just enhances the beauty of it. Give yourself a well-deserved pat on the back!!!
Toverly, what fun you must have had! And such restraint--1 yard per shop LOL. Love the blue swirls in your block.

Kalama--I thought I had commented when I saw your quilt, but then when I saw Jan's note above I went back to look. I am sorry! Your quilt turned out great!!! I really like the setting, especially the "sashing" and half stars.
Toverly--another pretty block...I like the yellow in the center.

Toverly, Iowa State Quilt Shop Hop is every June....the whole month to hit 94 shops...I fail to get 'one' whole section every year, but still get excited about it. On June 7th, four of us hit five shops. The www.CrazyRedHeadQuilting.com shop in Newton, Iowa will have a 'warehouse sale' laslt weekend in July and sell all for $4.00 a yard. She had a wonderful selection of fabric in her store, which is housed in a small church in Newton.
Good news is that I can still see and hope to make more star blocks in July. Love what everyone has done so far.

QuiltingNinaSue, that sounds wonderful. 94 shops would be fun! We discussed different states to shop hop as we traveled. It seemed like the saturation point for shops was 30 miles apart. A few had sales but for the most part, I just chose what I liked. We just put the address in my iphone and Suri told us how to get there.
