Default Scrappy Log Cabin And Churn Dash

Just thought I'd share the new top I just finished. I haven't quilted it yet. I know a lot of people aren't crazy about black backgrounds, but I use it a lot with these multiple fabric quilts.

I love black in a quilt and yours is really pretty. Did you have a pattern or did you design it yourself? Thanks for sharing.

I'm with you, Madan. I love the black with scrappy fabrics! It sets them off so nicely.

I very seldom use anyone else's patterns. I design patterns myself, so I have a VERY bad habit of "messing about" with other people's patterns when I purchase them, and that doesn't seem quite fair to them, so now I mostly just do my own thing to start with. LOL! Anyway, in this case it's just two old traditional blocks put together, so no real pattern was required anyway. It was more a case of color choice and placement.
