Default Memory Quilt for one of our quilting group members

Sorry- I have not been that active lately. Reason being is that I have designed a NZ quilt which is going to be published in the Australian Patchwork & Quilting magazine which comes out in Australia in August. Each year they feature a section on NZ quilts and with a huge stash of NZ fabrics I thought I might try something. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would be able to do anything like that. Right now I am designing an Australian quilt which will be very tropical so my time has been spent making quilts/writing instructions etc. This will hopefully be published early in the New Year I never ever thought I could achieve anything like this ever. Last month I had some of my quilts in the magazine under All Your Own Work section which covers quilt made from the magazine using other peoples designs-so it is all happening.

I have been able to spend a little bit of time making a wall hanging for one of my quilting friends who has just lost her pet dog Roxy. Roxy is a Jack Russell/Staffie Cross who was Joan's devoted friend for 13 years. I was able to give this to her this morning so it was an emotional morning for us both. She loves her special memory of her best friend. When my quilt gets published I will be able to show you that too so that will come later.
I still check all my daily emails and am amazed by all the talented people out there- I think some of you should get your quilt designs published also as there is a lot of talent out there.
