I did put it on my profile but didn't enter any contests. It looks like no thunderstorms for me tonight so it will just be hot and humid and then get them tomorrow. These weathermen are so wrong.

I love your orange double lily! How pretty. That is funny I also took a couple pictures of the garden in the back today after pulling some weeds. There was an amazingly huge yellow lilly that opened this morning I had to catch on digital. There is a over six foot pink one that should be open tomorrow. I need to transplant them in the fall. Way too tall for my yard!

Cute Halloween block.Love all the flower pictures. Thanks everyone for posting them. Many years ago I had a baby raccoon for a pet.If you see a raccoon out in the open during the day they are usually sick or have been spooked.Even my raccoon slept during the daylight. Be careful.

Love all the flower pictures. I wish I lived in a place where I could plant and take care of flowers. It's too hot for me to be outside here.

Red those are pretty flower pictures, and a pretty yard where you can relax. I love your bird bath.

Red,your yard is beautiful and your lily is outrageous. please show us your new bloom tomorrow.

Karen, how about in pots in the florida room. Or christmas cactus.

I got a problem I need help with. I'm so sick and tired of men asking me if i quilt for therapy. I want to use my quilting thread and needles as a garrot on them. they think it's something 'mental' a doctor prescribed for me. I'm blowing a lid over it. do you deal with this, and how. No one would ask them if they play golf or baseball for therapy, why do they ask woman if a craft or hobby is for therapy. i'm fuming and need to kill some of these idiots that carry on for 10 minutes about 'someone they knew' who had to do it after getting out of a 'hospital' for therapy. i'm about to start calling them 4 letter words. they are too chauvinistic for me and making me angry. then theydo the knitting needles thing in the air, as if that's what quilting is. you try to explain and they say,'it's all the same to me, woman's work' thanks for letting me blow off steam.

Lynnie,
You need to just tell them that quilts are made for prosperity not therapy. Quilts can last hundreds of years. How long does their golf game last?

But then, it doesn't sound like they could understand anything worth while. So ignore them as much as you can. It certainly isn't worth you time to steam up over it. Right?

I think it is their way of flirting with a pretty girl and getting her riled up.

Red, you're probably right about understanding things. It got me so upset that i ate nachos, marshmallows and chocolate with caramel. now my tongue is on fire. It just gets to me. they look at you like you're nuts sometimes. I think big men chasing a tiny white ball into a hole is quit, um....dumb

Lynnie you should tell them that it's therapy to calm your anger at people who ask stupid questions.
