Easier way?
Have just received my American Patchwork and Quilting (October issue) and want so bad to make the pattern on the cover. It shows a half square triangle and then have hand sewn two diamonds in one corner. They are leaving a raw edge. I am not too thrilled about the raw edges and really don't want to turn the diamonds' edges and sew them down, Any ideas of how to change the corners? Thanks!!

I think the pattern is called Hunter Star. There are many techniques to make one on Google.

Check out Roolen's tute here http://www.quiltingboard.com/tutoria...ar-t50608.html. She didn't use any special rulers and makes it look easy.

I don't think it's a true Hunter's Star block but looks like a variation of it. Hunter's Star block usually has two arrowhead shapes in each block section.
