I have a Janome 9000 that has a start stop button/ foot pedal / knee bar. Used they go for 600-800. They have
the embroidery feature as well as lots of build ins. Your are inspirational quilting one handed! Hope this helps.

My Pfaff 2044(late '90's model) has a s/s button, speed selector, needle up/down button, memory feature, several decorative stitches, and the IDT. Sadly it does have a smaller harp. happily does seem to be a forgiving machine. Found mine at a local dealer for $400. Another Pfaff will be my go to machine when the 2044 konks.

I think its just fantastic that you are quilting. I know what its like for you to sew with just your hands for control. My Husband has had a stroke and he has learned to quilt with one hand . My suggestions is to get a machine that has the start and stop button and one that you can set the speed on. My husband sews on a Viking quilting 11 Machine and also a pfaff machine. they both have the speed , stop and start button. We got the Viking used from a dealer and been very happy with it. Im so happy for you that you found quilting . I find quilting so much fun and helps them long winter days lol .

Does your other foot work better? Maybe you can try using the foot pedal with it. I know Janome has a push button start also.

I have a Singer Quantum stylist that has the stop and start button, as well as a speed control. I hope you find what you need and at a price suitable for you. God bless you for doing all this work "single handed".

I have a Babylock Serenade which has a start button, speed control bar, knee lift for the presser foot, and needle down. It's around 2 years old, so there could be some out there for sale used. I paid around $1,200 for it new, just to give you an idea of what to expect to pay for a used one. It has a nice big plexiglass table which fits around it, and the harp space is 8.75". If that's not enough harp space for you do free motion quilt in, then I'd look for a used Janome Memory Craft 7700, which has an 11" harp space. Those are also about 3 years old, so you can find a used one out there for sale.
