My avitar is actually green and white. I plan on using it when I finish my Thanksgiving topper that I haven't quilted yet . . . and my Christmas topper that I haven't put the blocks together yet and maybe a spring topper that I haven't found material for yet . . .

KAT...I can "topper that"! How about a beautiful red/black and gold queen size completed top ready for long arm since 2012; a 54" x 72" appliqued sunflower wall hanging needs binder stared in 2013; a king size Anniversary quilt completely quilted, just needs binding; 28 Boom Swap Blocks top is completed for large throw...and now Christmas Sampler Quilts - blocks arriving soon. Got to get them finished! UFO Support Group....here I come...."Hello my name is Buzzy Bee and it has been 5 Weeks since I started a new project!)

Hahaha!

Bee, I'll meet you at the UFO Group. There are no rules that say we can't start new projects though. Maybe I need to join the fabric moratorium group. I really shouldn't buy more fabric. I hit a $1 sale at my Walmart last month. Walked away with over 80 yards.

Hahaha! You must be my lost twin! To not buy more fabric.....as my favorite apron states: "my husband says if I buy more fabric, he will leave me....I'm really going to miss that man".

ArizonaKat is that the Drunkard Path template you used for your Avatar? I bought the template way back in the 90's along with the Bow Tie template, both hard plastic but have yet to use either one of them. Im really liking the quilt you made...

It is the Drunkard Path . . . a simplier version. I originally bought a plastic template but it had (I think) 16 little blocks to complete one 12" block. I found this template in my quilt block encyclopedia and also in the 1000 any size block book. Much easier.

My template makes a 4" block. About what size is your finished block? I bet if I put 4 of the 4" together it would look about like yours? My Bow Tie block is a 6" one. Not sure why I never used the templates but will on the Drunkard Path pattern pretty soon. I just got a fabric that I had ordered and drooled over for weeks...finally gave up and ordered it and it came today...not sure what Ill make out of it yet but I LOVE the colors of fall that are in this fabric! Whens the next swap start?? LOL

I like that fabric too! I have the cranberry, cream, gold and green to match I think....want ta' start now?? On my way out of town until Monday, will check in then. Have a great weekend ladies.

My new avatar is the quilt I received from Dabbler312 for the quilt for quilter's swap. Autumn batiks and a yummy tan minky for the backing. I love it so wanted to show it off.
