I could probably do it without a pattern but would have trouble deciding where one block ended and the other block began. Looks like there are sashings between some blocks or block areas.
To my brain, that would be an a'maze'ing problem. Better for me to have the pattern.

I don't think the quilting will take away from the 3-D effect. I will be sure to show pictures again when it is finished, will probably do stitch in the ditch and maybe pebble quilting (since its supposed to be a 'walk'.
