    Too funny -- at least it didn't find it's way to the middle of the quilt! I have some of those same fabrics! Your quilt looks stunning.

    Leaders and enders are a relatively small pieces of fabric that you run through the machine before you start sewing your seam. It holds the threads so you don't have to, and eliminates the nest of threads under the fabric if you aren't holding onto them when you start.
