Default Custom Quilt labels Wanted

I don't have an embroidery machine or an inkjet printer so I am guilty of not labeling my quilts. Does anyone know of someone who makes custom labels on which I could just ink in the date?

One option are label fabrics, for example this one here: https://www.missouriquiltco.com/shop...-cream-yardage

Another possibility would be spoonflower.com. There you can design your own fabric, so you could just make a yard of labels with a gap for title and date that you can fill in later.

Or you could get personalised labels from someone on etsy.com. Here are some options: Etsy Quilt Labels

I am also guilty of this quilting sin. I once bought some beautiful quilt labels but the quality wasn't what was at shown at their booth with very poor workmanship with tension on the labels.

I do mostly charity quilts and the organization doesn't want any type of identification on the quilts.

Sewnsewer2 makes beautiful labels with her embroidery machine.

I too, was going to recommend sewnsewer2 also. She has done some for me and I was thrilled with the finished product. She worked with me to get just the right pattern, color and wording. She also did it quickly and mailed promptly. I was so happy with every aspect of the process.

I second.. or third dakotamaid and vondae... sewnsewer2 makes beautiful labels. She just put one in the mail for me yesterday. I can't wait to get my hands on it!! For something a little more generic and cost effective I ordered some from Jennifer's Jewels.. http://jjlabels.com/ I really love those little labels I got. You can customize them in 1000's of ways... and I got 30 little labels for $15. I am really happy with how they turned out they are very nice. I was going to attach pictures.. but some reason I can't attach anything

Gorgeous labels at a good price. I use her for any quilts that I deem worthy of a "real" label. The rest get signed with a pigma pen.

Professional quilter Bonnie Hunter just sews a white triangle in the corner of the back and uses a permanent pen. If it's good enough for the professionals, it works for me.

Joanne fabrics has a couple different label books available. They are fairly inexpensive ( the 2 I have from there were $12.95 each) they contain over 50 iron on labels in a variety to designs, sizes and events. You can use them more than once and you iron them on then just use a permanent fabric pen to fill in the blanks/details.

I was wondering the same thing, mother will go going to a memory care home in a few weeks and I was wishing I had some labels to sew on her clothes rather than mark everything with a magic marker. the fabric slides around and wrinkles and the marks show through to the outside. Just seems one more action that takes away from who they really are/were.
