If you only got 20 squares, you could put on a narrow border on what you have, and just piece some rectangles in similar tones for an outer border. Looks great by the way!

I agree, add borders for a baby quilt. That was my first thought when I saw the colors.

You can finish that off and make it a table topper. Welcome, by the way. I also homeschooled my 3 kids. It was wonderful but I'm thankful that we are finished now. They are 24, 26 and 28!

Welcome to the board. What a cute start to your quilt. Like the others have said if you want to make it bigger you should add more blocks to it. Since you used a lot of different colors and prints, you shouldn't have any trouble finding several solids or prints to go with it. I like to use lots of different fabrics when I make my quilts and sometimes they are coordinated in a fabric line and sometimes I just pick several different fabrics I like and put them together. The main thing is that you have fun making your quilt and remember, there are no quilt police.

What pretty colors, I would have bought that too! I second what some others have said about adding some borders and finishing it into a baby quilt or throw for yourself and your little ones. Welcome to the board, there are some pretty great folks here. :-)

What are its dimensions? I would perhaps turn it into a doll quilt.

I agree. I am not sure where in the UK you can shop for fabric but I would just look for aqua, yellow and peach similar to the fabric you bought. To me, this looks like an old quilt pattern called Bow Tie. Welcome to the board.
