The TV show Friends and to lots of rock and roll--vintage stuff like Eric Clapton, Allman Brothers, Steve Winwood, the Doobie Brothers, etc.

My son also loaded an AC/DC song onto my iPod and it's pretty good when machine quilting!

I Love Lucy, Andy Griffith or classic movies on TCM. If I'm in a music mood, classic rock. If it's a rainy day, sometimes I turn off everything so I can just hear the rain

I quilt to mysteries on audio books. I love mysteries! Since I only listen to audio books in my sewing room, I find that I will work longer on quilting so that I can hear what happened next.

My sewing machine has to be set up in the kitchen so I usually listen to heavy metal (Cage 9, Arctic Monkeys) or 70's (3 Dog Night, Eagles). If it's not music then I have a Playaway (audiobook that is like an ipod) from the library. I don't need to have anything but I really don't like listening to the dishwasher while I sew. lol

I usually listen to R&B or jazz cds. As for tv, something I don't have to watch too closely, or else nothing would get done.

I bring my iPad to my sewing machine and watch/listen to The Quilt Show http://www.thequiltshow.com/os/index.php

It is a wonderful value since I can watch new and old episodes going back to their beginning. There is so much variety in all of the quilting stars they bring on their show.

Usually silence. I like to listen to my machine in case it makes any funny noises.
