Great job, lovely quilt top...no shame in the fellas learning how to sew. My husband is Sicilian, works in heavy metal trades, but cooks and sews up a storm at home. He makes his pasta from scratch (no machine either) and it is so light and silky. He did all the mending for his kids when he was a single Dad and as I'm busy working or quilting, he even sews our curtains.

He did an awesome job and should be inspired to make his own quilt now. You both did GOOD!

A great idea to work sewing/quilting into your curriculum. It's a great quilt and I am sure the recipient will be thrilled with it. I hope your son gets an A+ and a gold star from the teacher for this project. Also a very, very nice way to instill in him the need for charitable works. You are a great mom and teacher!

What a great idea to teach him to sew and to give all in one project. It's a wonderful top that will make someone happy. Thanks for passing on the quilting knowledge.

Nothing is better than giving of yourself --what a great way to teach him to sew. It won't be long and you will be competing with him for time at the sewing machine. Way to go Mom and son!
