I received my last birthday package today from Anoka Quilter. Thanks a bunch. I have never seen a Kangaroo Bag. Cool.

I am still missing packages from pjjandme and BillyJean but I don't expect to see them. They never responded to the candy I sent for their birthday. I hope everything is ok with them.

It's been a great birthday month. Thanks to all.

pjandme has been incommunicado for many months. Didn't know about BillyJean. I guess I was one of the lucky ones who got 'candy' from everyone, having an early birthday in the rotation. It's bad when people have received their treats yet don't fulfill their promise to swap with others. We forget it's a SWAP, not a gift. If you can't fulfill your obligation for some reason, you can at least come on and say "I can't do this", not just disappear.

Glad you had a great birthday month, Diana... I'm still using the sweet little pincushion you gave me, and loving it.

an update on my dad.

My dad is now left the hospital and they have taken him to a rehab center. The last weeks events have left him very weak so he can't walk. He is a very determined to walk (with the aid of a walker) so he can go back home again. My dad is going to be 92 in December and my mom is 87 this month. It is a lot for her to care for him (she waited on his every need before this happen) I am trying to get them to go to a senior living place but they are very stubborn!
Thank you ALL for the prayers and good wishes...I felt every one of them. You are ALL a blessing to me. Thanks for being there when I need you.

so I believe all my packages (except 2) are in....
thanks to all for the beautiful 2.5 inch squares. My next quilt for a friend from Argentina will get some of my 2.5 squares. so excited to use the squares that I have been collecting.

I hope I did not miss anything I wrote things down while opening the packages and now I can't read my own handwriting! (I think that is a sign of old age....remember I just had a birthday)
