I quilt every spare minute. Can't wait to get a meal prepared, served and clean up the kitchen and then hibernate in the sewing room.

Sometimes yes and sometimes no. It all depends on what's going on around here. Who's coming to town to visit (or not). It might be somewhat quiet here as far as guests go this year and if so I will have less fuss for others and more me time which of course will mean more sewing time. With that said though, I do still like to have hand sewing projects ready to grab and sew on whenever I feel like I can squeeze it in no matter who's around or what's going on. I guess I'm a bit like an addict...I start feeling withdrawals when I haven't been able to handle fabric for a few days so I try not to let that happen LoL.

Yes I take a break. But only because I have to use my sewing room as a guest room. My Design Wall (Queen size mattress) comes down from the wall to the floor and I put my machines away to keep them out of the kids way.

I'm lost without my sewing machine and projects. I always take it on holiday with me in the caravan. I sew year round.

Me, too. I look forward to break for quilting time.

I keep on quilting, it is in my blood now. I get up early and while DH is making coffee and feeding the pets, I go into my quilt room and sew a seam or two. Stop back in and sew something else off and on, even during busy times. It is my oasis.

I still sew when I can. It's good therapy for me. will only have company on Christmas day, so I'm good to go.

If I did not sew all year long, no one would get anything for Christmas, so yes, I sew through the holidays.

I quilt or sew up until the kids and DGK's get here then I spend my time with them. When they are gone back I go to my sewing room. After Christmas it takes a few days to take down and put away decorations and get my house in order. This year I have stacks of projects waiting for me.

I'm with cathylynn, quilting is my therapy, so I do it whenever I can as time and my arthritic shoulder will let me.
