Default How to prepare batting? Can't find the article.

Hi everyone, a while ago I read an excellent article about how to prepare batting before you make the quilt sandwich. There were various on how to relax the batting so the sandwich goes together easier. After a google search, I found the fine details of baseball and how to make a sandwiched quilt, but no site for preparing the batting.

Can anyone help me or can you offer suggestions?

I believe this is what I was looking for:
Tip: If you cannot unroll the batting and let the wrinkles relax overnight, throw it in your dryer on low heat for about 10 minutes. - See more at: http://academyofquilting.com/library....Qkj0H4VN.dpuf

TIP: If you cannot unroll and let the wrinkles relax overnight, throw it in the dryer on low heat for about 10 minutes. It was in your first link. Thanks!

Any other advice would be welcome!

If your batting has some stubborn folds /wrinkles I would lightly mist it before tossing in the dryer.

I took a queen size Hobbs out of the bag and it is always very wrinkled. I tossed it into the dryer with towels and sheets that just came out of the washer and I was surprised when the batting came out perfectly unwrinkled.

I wet a small hand towel, wringing as much water from it as possible, toss it into the dryer with the unfolded batting and dry using very low heat for 3-5 minutes. Spread it on the bed until ready to use. If the drying cycle is too long, you will lose a lot of the fiber in the batting, which you will see when you clean your lint filter.

I usually toss mine in the dryer on low with a damp washcloth added to the machine. Adds just enough moisture to relax those pesky creases
