Default Part 2 : The quilter has my mother's quilt

well, I'm just a sucker for a happy ending, and I am so
happy to report that the problems with the quilt
my mother made for my brother were with the employees
    and not the owner/long-armer.
Backstory: my mother has macular degeneration and only
    has some peripheral vision.
So it takes a lot of patience for her to do all the different
parts of a quilt, that you and I probably can do in a
    fraction of the time.
Watching my mom make these beautiful quilts, tells me
that if you really want to produce something, you have
to be determined, patient and willing to perspire.
In return you can be really proud of not only making a
quilt, but with a serious disability. That in itself is huge!
The lady that had the quilt took it upon herself to pick
out all the stitches where the quilt got caught in the
long arm machine and she did a really good job quilting
    on it.
My mother was very pleased and now, my brother,
the recipient is very pleased too.
He says he is very humbled that she would go to all
that trouble to do this for him.
I'm proud of her too and he really is a terrific
    brother.
They both get "applause from the paws"
The pictures make one of the fabrics look pink, but
it's an orange that goes well with the sashing fabric.
She wasn't sure about it at first, but the combination
she chose made a lovely quilt.
YIPPEE! It's done, it's quilted, it's delivered and
    everybody is thrilled.

Thank you so much for letting us know the end results!! And I am so glad it is a happy ending. You have to be very proud of your mother. She did a terrific job, beautiful quilt!! (I also have macular degeneration, though I have only lost the center vision of one eye so far. I do not know if I could quilt if I had lost center vision in both eyes, much less create such a beautiful quilt.)

It's beautiful, and certainly gives us all hope for our own futures. Your Mom is AWESOME!
