    Oh, my, goodness-these are soooo pretty!! I haven't seen any done like these-did you use a pattern?

    Thank you! All of you are so kind to comment! No I didn't use a pattern, but made up my own from ideas gleaned from different pictures found on the Internet. I liked the idea of making different designs for each placemat, unified by the fabric. As someone mentioned, I thought they'd make a bit of a conversation piece at the dinner table too . Fun to make as they are not repetitive, so the options are endless!
