I absolutely love this quilt! How long did it take you to do the cross stitch?

So very pretty. Your xstitch is beautiful and I know how long it has taken you to complete all of those Santas. I did one several years ago and posted it 11/28/2011. I didn't have as many Santas as you though. I believe I spent a few years just doing those. Since then my daughter did a whole lot of chickens and I put those in a quilt, too. Not an easy process, is it? Did you put any kind of fusible backing on them? I didn't on my Santas and over the years the Aida has started to sag a bit. I think I need to go back and add some quilting around the perimeter of the Santa to stabilize it better. The chickens I did fuse and they are not saggy yet. I love your work and it will surely be something that you will proudly display every year. Just beautiful!!

I am sure that will be a wonderful heirloom quilt. You did a great job on the quilt design and all of your Santas. Kudos to you for a beautiful combination of crafts.

Yes, I also used feasible backing to keep it from fraying.

It is beautiful, another form of art. I do hand embroidery, tried cross stitch many years ago, but get "lost in the x's"
