I was looking for something else and found this pic of a Penguin on a machine. It might give perspective to how it fits.

I don't really get why they're so expensive. You could buy an industrial walking foot machine for what these are going for.

For the same reason Featherweights regularily sell for $450..... while a 99 can be had for under $100 almost anytime

That's why I sold the one I found. But Steve nailed it with his comment. Anything FW related is expensive. Make it a 'rare' FW attachment and it's worth it's weight in gold.

Well, I don't mean to beat a dead horse, but I would never pay that much for an attachment, one that might not be in working order, if it's all even there! This is a very glaring situation where "Let the buyer beware."

The foot appears quite substantial and functional. Here's a video. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=UANYpUSsi4I

It's interesting that demanding those prices some company hasn't cloned it.

A clone would never sell for what the genuine vintage Singer does. There are plenty of great working walking feet out there - including the next generation Singer made after this one. They go for around $35.

Is that price in error? Hard to believe.
