AMEN!

When I said "sticky" a while back, I should have said Fusible. The Fusi-Boo is the cotton/bamboo fusible batting that she mentions. Get out that quilters dictionary please. Spray stuff is out for me and pinning is tedious/repetitious for sore hands. I think I'll try it with a QAYG where it won't get handled so much as with a full quilt.

Great finishes ladies...Cindy, love the cloud fabric! I finally got mine done today, along with the L/E scrappies I worked on while doing it & BHMQ...so I actually got alot done, just took longer. I'm happy! I didn't just use my scraps for this ride, I used scraps from my daughter she gave me awhile back from a quilt she made. Thank goodness it's so busy, had to do alot of piecing to have enough. You can't even see the piecing, YEA! I still have a few of her scraps left. The closeup is the brown fabric from her. Also, I had some 2 1/2" fusion squares in my box...enough to put as middles for my stars. The outside of the stars was scraps from a really long time ago...like years! But, blended really well with the fusion. That's why you don't get rid of anything!!! The sashing was from another quilt I was going to use it for & decided against...worked perfectly for this one! So, I'm ready for #9. The 2 scrappy quilts (50x60 & 50x67) will be wedding presents for a friend's son getting married in May...they can use them in each of their recliners. One will have white/white binding, the other will have scrappy binding. Gotta get busy quilting some of these quilts!

Love seeing the finished tops! It's so interesting how we all make such different choices.

I don't think the Hobbs fusible had any particular odor...I'm sensitive to odors (asthma) and didn't have a problem.

According to Google maps, it would take 5 hours to reach Sanibel! But then, it said we could drive from SEattle to here in less than 3 days!! I've never been to Sanibel, but it's on my bucket list of places to visit.

Still working on mine--hope to get more done tomorrow. Looking forward to the next ride, but I think my two rides will be overlapping (unless I really get myself in gear!). We are having weather though, and no school tomorrow, so maybe...

Wow Ladies! I just finished checking out some newly finished tops . . . beautiful work!!! I wish I could proudly share a finished Train Ride #8, but have been tied up with other projects. Maybe I can post my picture in the near future - ha, ha, ha. But probably after Judy starts her next train ride

I promised Belfrybat (a/k/a Brigit-Carol) I'd post a picture of the stamper I used on my quilt squares to JoLo. Thanks for letting me post the picture.

My DGS & DGDIL have one and it is very different in design ... I think they are custom made entirely.

Lynnie, our oldest daughter ordered from the Etsy website - TheStampinPlace at etsy.com
I think it's permanent ink - have used it several times on "gifts", but haven't washed an item with the stamp imprint (shame on me!). But I'm thinking it should be permanent ink especially if it says it was created by such & such . . . although you know what happens when you "assume"!! Anyway, check out the website and see what's available. I think this is great idea - using a stamper - especially if you are like me and are ready to be finished with a project . . . this just makes it much easier to say "ta-da" . . .
