Beautiful!!! Love the sailboats and the colors. There must be something in the air because I'm working on a nautical baby quilt too with paper pieced sailboats!

I have been sailing for over 40 years. And your flags are flying just fine. The short sail is your foresail (Jib or genoa) and the longer, bigger sail is the mainsail. The boat is sailing into the wind...and flags sure look OK to me.
I can smell the water and feel the breeze!!!!!!!!!!!!

your quilt is beautiful! Would you mind telling what the PVC stand is for the FMQing?

So cute! What do you mean your flags are blowing in the wrong direction? That was the way the wind was blowing! lol

Thank you everyone. After I wrote the post, I sat down and thought it out and although the wind is blowing the boat sail to the right, the flag is correct as the movement of the boat would cause the flag to blow to the left. Whew! I hate when I do this. Thanks for your loving support. Gave the quilt to mama last night and it is a huge hit. Another one under my belt and now for a wedding quilt.

The flags appear to be blowing the right direction. On a sailboat, the "pointy" end goes forward as we say. Therefore the flags will blow towards the rear (stern) of the boat. Love the quilt. We are a family of sailors.
