Pin basting the quilt. I'm too allergic to things to try spray basting so I pin baste. Lately I do it at my favorite LQS, so it's not so bad since I'm working on tables instead of the floor.

dislike sewing the top together...especially hate if it is interrupted...cuz I seldom get back to it at a good time.
having to put it all away midway...hard to get the enthusiasm back.

The "Un"-sewing when I make stupid mistakes. I used just dread quilting a bed size quilt , then I discovered long arm professionals..... its was life changing.

I'm a constructionist! So I like someone else to pick the colors and the fabric, I'll do all the cutting, piecing, ironing...
and my least favorite words "Quilt as desired"! Please just tell me what to quilt where or at least show a picture as a starting idea!

For me its the binding!!! It's the thing I always drag my feet on! My favorite part is the piecing. I LOVE picking out fabrics and even the cutting. The quilting is growing on my as I build my skills.

My worst part which I find - UHMM - totally boring is taking out the foundation papers -- YAWN !
I love choosing the colours and adding the binding - I am on the last leg !
The best part is the look on a recipients face when I give them the finished quilt or project !

My least favorite part is adding my quilt tags. I can never get my wording centered on the tag and no matter how many methods I try, they're never rectangular. I have a bunch of finished quilts.made that are being used and a bunch of tags ready to go on. I guess I should just sit down and do it.

I like it all. Just not too good with the actual quilting. I have love hate relations with every quilt. On a recent quilt, almost threw up when I put blocks up on design wall. It was too busy. But when sewn together with setting triangles I loved it again.

Love it all but the quilting part, especially the piecing and seeing it come together.

I have found that after years of quilting (since 1980) my likes and dislikes have changed. At the beginning I hated the binding but now it's one of my favorite things. I call it my kiss good bye to the quilt. Now my least favorite part is deciding how to quit (what pattern/design, how to fill the empty spaces, etc.).
