SheriR glad you took the teasing stride. I was chuckling when I was posting it ...then after I read it I thought...yikes hope that was okay!

Our -10 makes us really love the summer. But i will say it is really hard to get quilting done during the nice weather because I stay outside as long as I can. gardening .....my other addiction.

Oklahoma weather is fearsome right now, hope I can get to Broken Arrow this weekend. The Oklahoma City practically rolls up the highways due to the icy weather. Saw an 18 wheeler laying on it's side on a highway frontage road today. I couldn't see across the street yesterday, snowing so hard! I learned to drive in deep snow/ice while living in the hills (my aviation map calls them the Allegheny Mountains) of western Pennsylvania. Four winters were quite enough, but I do miss my friends there. I'm good to drive, it's the other drivers here in OK who scare the beejesus out of me! 4-Wheel drive does not mean you can do 75mph in this kind of weather, who are those folks???
Anyway, please pray for me!
hugs,
dj

Just a little chat here amongst friends, everyone. I live in Portage which is just immediately south of Kalamazoo. Portage and Kazoo actually share a border. I am about 10 minutes south of I-94. So let me know when you are journeying to South Haven this summer and we can do a quick lunch, snack or mini-shop hop. It would be fun and I am about 1 hour east of South Haven. OOOOO if we time this right we could pick blueberries on your way to South Haven. I know a lovely place to pick and chat and eat and pick and chat and .......

Stay safe, DJ, and everyone else with this horrible winter storm weather.

Wow... Janice shares a birthday with George Washington!

I will stay in and quilt today. All schools have been shut down due to threat of ice. I drove in it yesterday but today I'm staying home.

BTW, I posted a couple of links to patterns for our 2.5" candy squares over on the new thread. They are cute and non-traditional. Go take a peek...

I'm curious too. I didn't enter since it didn't seem right as it's my birthday and I've already won a couple of times. We'll see who the lucky gal is!

Sounds great! Pretty cool to actually meet someone who is out there in computer land!
