I did a wall hanging of hers, Poppies in a Vase and it turned out just perfect. Love her patterns.

Beautiful patterns! And fabrics!

And that Eldon is fabulous! It looks complicated, for those of you who have made it, how hard was that one?

My avatar is her 'Reaching Out', done in different colours. This was my first appliqué project - loved every minute of it! You can get a closer look here if you want

Edyta spoke and presented a trunk show at my quilt guild. If you get a chance to see her or take a class, do it!

Edyta is our guest speaker and teacher at our local quilt show next week. I'm taking one of her classes and I'm so excited!

I will try to relate what I read in the McCall's Quilting magazine (I think) several years ago. Edyta's MIL taught her to quilt. The MIL had made quilts for all of the family members but continued to quilt. When she completed a quilt, she threw it into a laundry basket. When there was a emergency in the community, she had a supply of quilts used to comfort the victims. When Edyta started her designs, fabric line, etc, she chose the name Laundry Basket Quilts in honor of her MIL.

Incidentally, she is a wonderful and generous teacher. If you ever have the opportunity to sit under her teaching or lecture, run for a front row seat. She is excellent and you will enjoy her accent.

Just checked her web site. She has some pretty "free stuff" there. I've made my blocks for her "Appliqué Affair" and "Sweet Sixteen". 2 of my many UFOs?

We had Edyta at our quilt guild for a lecture and workshop. She was awesome and is very talented. I love her patterns. If you get a chance to see her go for it.
