The ones I made look like yours, except mine are art foam, and written in permanent marker.

I pin papers with the row and columns marked (1A, 1B, etc.). I am tempted to start using my frixion pens.

When it gets to the stage of sewing the blocks together, I use stickers to mark the rows.

I agree 100%. This board is wonderful and this particular thread had so many good ideas. This is one of my trouble areas and one reason I hesitate to make a complicated quilt.

I use my phone or IPad to take a pic and use that to refer to. It's so much easier for me than pins or some sort of labeling system.

I have been pinning small post-it notes to mark blocks. But I love the blue painters tape idea---I have a couple of rolls handy and bet they will stick fine without pins.

I have some wooden spring clothes pins which I have numbered. I always put them on the left of the rows.
It has worked great for me.

I use the sticky notes to label rows, placing the sticky on the top left of each row, then I basically do the same thing (except I use the bed). I figure that's one way to get more exercise ) -- walking from bed to sewing machine and back to bed again.

I use "flower" pins. Use permanent marker to put letters on the peach colored ones and numbers on the turquoise ones. Keep them in a special pin cushion, in order.
