Fiestypixie, color is one way of sorting them. Or you could sort them according to lights and darks. If you did a checkerboard-type 16 patch quilt you would want to have your darks and lights separate so you could alternate them. You could also sort by style... like pick out the kids' prints, the batiks, the 30's fabrics, the civil war fabrics... etc. It depends on how you plan to use them.

I received my bag of candies yesterday. And no calories in my candy! I had fun sorting them. I sort mine into 3 piles. Darks, brights, and neutrals. Have been collecting the mediums and brights and sewing them into 4 patches for a scrappy quilt. Thanks to you all and to you Sheri for always organizing these swaps. I will watching for your next one.

Thank you everyone. I received my candies today. A special Hurray goes out to SheriR for the small extra candies.
All is well and I am so Happy. I have a picture but I cannot figure out how to add it.

I might add that I received several duplicates from one of you instead of 50 different. So please be careful next time and I am not upset at all.

We do need to remember the rules, "50 different". No way can I inspect every single candy bag.

Most everyone donated to the "extra" set. I thought it was a fun addition in a Quilty Madness way! I truly appreciated it! Thanks all you wonderful swappers.
