Mary, your wallet is so cool and practical. What pattern did you use? And, your Altoid tool box is sew creative. I never would of thought of putting a handle on it like you did.

Beautiful job Dee, great swap Jaba. That ring is going to be in demand around here.

My swaps went out today and will be delivered Monday and Tuesday. I hope my partners can use what I made.

What do you folks use as the actual part on the ring pincushion that goes around your finger?

I made one out of a bottlecap and used elastic, the regular type for cloths a 1/4" wide stuff.

That's what I used too. A water or soda bottle cap. Drill 2 hoes in the center and thread a piece of elastic through it. Tie the ends together. Make a tiny pincushion and glue it in. The ones with petals you could clip some clips on the petals as you sew binding or whatever.

Thanks girls. That is kind of what I thought too, but just wondered. Elastic is perfect when we think of all the stretchy bracelets so common these days.

I wish Dee would answer but this sort of looks like a pull type bottle cap. It's all plastic, a circle piece around where your finger fits in, just like a wedding band, but then attached to it is a flat piece of plastic, like it would cover the bottle. Looks like she glued the flower petals onto that and made the little "bubble" for needles and then glued it on. Hope this makes sense...

I'm sorry...I'm slow today! LOL
The ring is from a pull tab on the Mootopia milk carton, but I've also seen them on some orange juice cartons. Suzy0879 has me looking at everything as a potential pin cushion. Nothing is safe around here now
