LOve this idea and you should submit it to one of the modern quilt magazines. I need to save more selvages to do something like this.

Thanks for all the nice comments. The selvedges at the top two rows and the bottom rows were foundation pieced in sections and joined together, as were the middle section of 'plain' selvedges. The 'falling' selvedges are raw-edged appliqued in place. I then quilted around each one of them. It was super easy to do and so much fun.
