Your projects all look like fun. I want to join you in this VQW. I need to quilt a quilt for a grandson who is graduating this year and I brought a quilt for charity from my quilt guild yesterday. I figured as long as I had my machine set up to quilt I would do a charity project also. I have had a hard time getting to the guild work days-so I brought one home. The organizer said she loved to cut and make kits for other to sew. I'd rather sew or quilt them. A task for everyone. I hope I can learn to send pictures soon.

We plan to clean the limbs and sticks from the yard today - big job, 3 acres and lots of trees! Then the rest of the weekend (and Monday) I can sew! Catch you all later!

I had a productive day yesterday. Got one quilt off the longarm, pieced a backing for the next one, finished up a little baby quilt top from the remains of a fabric line (3rd quilt from the FQ I bought of this fabric, and I think I can finally say DONE). And I put together some blocks for a panel I want to finish up for donation. Now I'm off to work, and when I get home I plan to attach the binding to a quilt, and maybe load a new one on the longarm.

The fabric I ordered for the outer border of my sampler quilt came in yesterday, so I'm planning to finish that top up today. Then next up, to start assembling my Burgoyne Surrounded blocks. I've been making the components as leaders and enders and finally have enough to get started on block making!

The fabric for my next FLW quilt came yesterday, but I am not starting that (yes, I broke the moratorium because I had no good solids left), so I will finish making foundation papers for my Lake Superior batiks quilt and maybe get some blocks started. Or go through all the batiks in the stash to try to find some more fabrics for the Amazon star quilt--there is a session on how to use the cutting directions in 3 weeks and I need to have at least one of the strip sets picked out by then.

Finally got home from the gym and I'm ready to get back into piecing my Disappearing Hourglass in college colors. Either that or take a nap! Will check back in and look for some pictures later!

Krista - I love those colors! Makes me want to go dig out some blues and play!

I haven't made it out to the garden yet, was having too much fun sewing. It's normally for me to get my garden in late (like first week of June) and it always seems to do fine anyway.

Here is my mini-quilt. I love how it looks like wide lace laying over the top of dark fabric. I won't do anything more with it until I decide what it's going to become - it may just end up as a cabinet runner.

Macybaby: Here are some pictures from the Conservatory at Como Park. My camera phone didn't capture the beauty on this cloudy day.
There is a Japanese Garden outside also.

Dh and I were up at4this morning to take his brother and sister in law to the airport. Round trip was almost 4hours. It knocked the both of us for a loop. The pollen around here is terrible and that is not helping us either.

I finally got around to putting the binding on a quilt that I can't even tell you how long ago I started it. I am now hand sewing the binding down. Will try to get a picture tomorrow before I give it to my mom. Then we must go up and mow her lawn because my sister's lawn mower is in the shop and she mows my mom's lawn.

All the quilts look great so far.
