    I use this method and it works very well. then you can simply "pop" the paper at the stitching and it come right out. then I have tweezers to get the annoying smaller pieces out but don't bother with tiny bits either. I love paper piecing.

    ricky timms has a washable 'interfacing' that acts like paper with some stiffness, and then after the quilt is washed it turns into a lovely, draping extra layer. it appeals to me, but i have no idea how expensive. oh, i almost forgot, it can be run thru the printer, too.
