you might be surprised at the amount of patience you have when you pick up hand applique. I have close to none when piecing. But hand applique, well, I can set down at 8:00 am with a cup of coffee thinking I will just do a few leaves. Then around 3:00 wonder where the day went and what can I fix in a few minutes for dinner. I get totally lost. I picked up my LBB book at the Grand Rapids show a few years ago. I haven't started it yet , but I find myself looking for fabric with certain prints that will look good as flower petals. So, it is just a mater of time and no dinner again.

Your applique is just gorgeous. I admire your patience. It would take me years and years, or a life time to do those two blocks, let alone a quilt.
