Ummm.... how many YBR quilts do you make? I mean, I made one, seemed like enough. I did cut a second one out and made the blocks, would you like them?

I think it just depends. Sometimes you may want only a small piece, or to get a lot of variety. I hardly buy them anymore, but I used to. Now I done got greedy and want more than that! LOL!

That. Is. Beautiful.

I love how you used the low volume fabrics.

I make scrappy quilts and fat quarters give me variety so I don't get bored. If I find fabric I really like, I buy one to three yards at a time, but I love my fat quarters!! My three Mariner's quilts have lots of variety in each block due to my collection of fat quarters. I don't want to have too much of the same fabrics and have all my quilts look alike in colors. A little bit of one special piece can really make a pattern pop!

Ummmm...maybe she likes the yellow brick road pattern? Some people like to make the same quilt multiple times even if you don't.

I tend to only get FQ if I find a set I like that's clearance priced. Usually I either get remnants or at least a yard if it's something I know I'll use, whether or not I have a specific plan for it.

I like fat quarters because of the variety and for using in appliqué. I'm only allowed (self imposed rule) to buy fat quarters right now as I have too much fabric in my stash. I usually get fat quarters on sale and if they are purple ;-)

I'm thinking a cream colored selection would be great for backgrounds as someone else mentioned here.

Yes, I'm like this. I'm making a scrappy quilt and am having a hard time cutting into my FQ.

Your quilt is beautiful. This is why I like FQs.

I find it interesting as to why people do things. Oftentimes, like here, it broadens my mind to things I didn't think of before.
