Someone Help Identify Cams?
I have a Japan rebadged Class 15 labeled Aldens which I know was a mail order company. Its a low shank manual zigzag machine. I did buy cams randomly at a sale and they dont appear to be correct maybe someone can help me see which machine these go to and which cams my machine takes Thanks pictures below.

Crankyfuzz,
The cams should look like this:

I've seen them in both the white and maroon cases.
Also as I looked at your picture I noticed that the top tension is missing some parts. If I'm right it might be easier to find a replacement top tension than it is to find parts for it.

That would not be a Japanese 15 clone. It is made in Japan. I am wondering if there are any Brother markings on the under sides? The cams look right for the cam holder. It looks like it is needing serious clean up and oiling.

it most def needs cleaning and oiled its been sitting here for a few months waiting for me to have time to give it some TLC it just hasn't happened as of yet. I picked up this machine and 2 others at a yard sale in a group buy. I picked up the cams randomly at a sale the other day thinking I would see if they fit or pass them along.
The only markings on the underside are a metal plate with a 4 digit serial number I have looked everywhere else trying to identify it to see if I could find the cams. This wekeneds relaxing project is cleaning all the gunk off this machine since someone used the wrong oil on it at some point.

Joe those cams fit most Taiwan made Dressmaker machines. I'm not saying they won't fit any Japanese machines, I'm just saying it's been my experience that's what they fit. It's the same set I have for my Dressmaker, S4000, made in Taiwan. They also fit the S2000, S2400 and several other Taiwan made Dressmakers. The cams themselves come in white, grey, blue and maybe more colors. The case can be different colors too, but it's always that same shape.

I thought those cams looked familiar. I have a Dressmaker 7000. Of course, right now it is froze up, waiting for me to work on it again. I also have two different sets of Kenmore cams, no machines just the cams and a set for a "Deluxe Zig-Zag".

Cari,
The cams I posted the pic of came from a Dressmaker 7000. The cam drive is, or was very similar to the one Crankyfuzz posted.
Here's a pic:

I believe this design was very common and used in many many machines.
