I love it just the way it is! The color and applique are the stars of this quilt, and the little guy who gets it will just love it to tatters!

Really cute quilt. I like the suggestions of variegated thread. If I quilted it more it would be with lines radiating from the appliques to the edge of the block, but not so many as to lose the cuddly from the quilt.

Cute, Cute quilt. Love the colors you used and your sashing. Love the appliqués for a boy. I would add an echo around each of the appliqué. That would hold the batting in place.

[QUOTE=ManiacQuilter2;7286040]I don't prefer heavily quilting but did you SITD outlining the oval around with the equipment? You might just echo once around those ovals about about 1/2" or 3/4".[/QUOTE
I like this idea too. It would draw out the applique - help meet the 8" on the diagonal while keeping the softness of the quilt. The heavier it's quilted the less soft it is.

Cute quilt. You have met the quilting requirement, so if you are happy it is done. Will be cuddly and cute when washed. Great job.

Just a little more quilting in the blocks would keep them from being "baggy" and still let the quilt be soft and cuddly.
