I haven't seen this one, but I have a round one. I found I was always wanting to cut something bigger than I could fit on it. So I would have to move the fabric, which defeats the reason for using a rotating mat. I finally bought the square Omnigrid one. It works much better for me.

I have not used that one - I have and absolutely LOVE the Martelli turntable.......cutting mat is large enough to trim a 12" block easily, and I can pop on the pressing pad and rotate when I have to press seams open on a block......

I have this mat as well as the square Olfa rotating mat. For anything 9.5" square or smaller, I much prefer the mattilda. It rotates using ball bearings and is considerably smoother. The square mat often falls apart while using unless being very careful to turn.

I bought the top one 2-3 years ago, and I've used it many times. It works great! Before I bought it, I had read some reviews that it slips and doesn't rotate smoothly, but I've never had an issue with it.
There's also an off white one, same brand, same size, but it's about $15.00 cheaper. I don't know why. When I bought mine, I bought it from Amazon, and the yellow one was the only one available at that time.

I finally made my purchase of a rotating mat! As I am a newer quilter I felt I didn't need to spend as much money as the Matilda Mat. I ended up purchasing the Olfa @ Joann Fabrics with a 50% off coupon which made the purchase quite sweet I might say! So far I'm happy with it and see it as a nice addition to my sewing room.
