What a great way to use up scraps. I LOVE scrap quilts (cause I have so many scraps but don't we all). Gorgeous.

Great idea for using up scraps. Are those 2.5 strips you used and what size blocks before assembling? Love, love this idea and I have lots of jelly rolls I have no clue what to do with too............as well as lots of scraps?

SoozieQ, I don't know the name of the pattern unfortunately. I spend hours "trolling" the web looking for ideas and saw one like it. If you go back to post #19 of this thread, I described how I made it. Real simple with just 2 pieces: a 6 1/2" x 3 1/2" rectangle and 3 1/2" squares!

snooze, I think you could make this quilt from 2 1/2" strips. I described how I made it in post #19 earlier in this thread: I used 3 1/2" strips as my starting point ( 6 1/2" x 3 1/2" rectangles and 3 1/2" squares), but I think you could adjust it to smaller size blocks with 2 1/2" strips.

I love the colors, the quilt. I love everything!!
Can you please tell me how long does it takes for you to do a quilt like this?
I'm a begginer, and feels that will take me months to do something like this...

Maggie, this one is real easy with just two sizes of pieces to cut. I don't keep track, but I estimate the cutting took me about 1-2 hours, piecing the top was done off and on in 3-4 days, probably about 8-10 hours total. I did simple SID quilting in about 3 hours, and the binding was another hour as I did it all by machine rather than by hand. So all in, I think it took me 13-16 hours total. It is a pretty quick quilt to make. I consider myself a confident beginner as I just started quilting 2 years ago. But no matter how long it takes, just try to enjoy the process! I am retired so have lots more time now to enjoy quilting. Hope that helps a little.
