    Question Survey, Block Magazine

Did we do a survey on here about the Block Magazine that has no advertising and 10 patterns per issue?
    TIA, Jennifer

I for one LOVE my Block Magazine!!! I think it is very unique and innovative!!! I don't see how they can publish it for only $5.99 including shipping!!! My copies have a prominent place on my bookshelf! I wish Jenny and MSQC all the best and sing their praises every chance I get!!!

I love the Block. I find at least one pattern (if not more) in each one and mark 2 or 3 others....just need more time. It is a good deal and since a lot of the quilting magazines are beginning to disappear, this is a joy to get!!!

I ended my subscription. Out of 6 copies, only found 2 patterns I was interested in.

I would miss the ads. I love to see what fabric the various companies are coming out with. Just got my Hancock of Paducah catalog and it is just so mouth watering good with no calories. Love the new batiks that are being produced.

I think it is fair. Well done, good stories and directions, but just have not been "wowed" by the patterns/designs presented. Many are very, very basic. If you are a beginner quilter I think this would be a very useful publication. If you want a little more complexity or more modern designs, this may not be the best one for you.

What I like the best is Block has very detailed instructions for each pattern with lots of pictures. And there is a video if I need a visual of how to do a part I don't understand. All the other magazines seem to condense the patterns to save room and have tiny pictures and the instructions are sometimes confusing. No ads is a bonus too. Each pattern has a nice entertaining backstory and there is a continuing mystery which is fun to read.

This is the only magazine I now get. The last one was the best for me. I am currently making Phoeboes Flower Box. I love the writing that goes along with each pattern.

This is the only magazine I subscribe to. The only downside to it is having to look up the corrections for every issue. I print them out and stick the page into the magazine.
