Oh ladies this makes me so happy, happy, happy! I love all things Christmas & to already be started with Secret Santa makes me feel just like I did when I was 7 years old! I could care less what my house looks like so come join me. Weather is great here today. We are still clinging to summer here so it maybe too warm for some; definitely no fall chill here yet - I wish! Wine is chilling and there's plenty to snack on. I LOVE entertaining so please join me.
This is my first year in the swap so I love that Cindy asked us for more detail about ourselves.
Here's my updated list:
1. Favorite colors: my all time fav is yellow. I also love for quilting bright white, turquoise, navy, red and pink. My least favorites are brown, orange, beige and gold; another words the fall colors. I love fall in nature, just not wild about the color palette for my quilts.
2. Favorite fabrics: I love dots, checks and stripes, especially when paired with bright white. I love Moda, Riley Blake and Robert Kaufman fabric companies. I'm one of the few who is not a fan or collector of batiks. Unless I'm looking for a particular color I usually walk right past them.
3. My quilting style is definitely more on the traditional side. I love charm packs & jelly rolls but tend to look for patterns that are more traditional.
4. I just recently inherited a cat when my daughter moved out & her landlord wouldn't allow pets. She is a very sweet calico kitty, about 6 years old, named Koshou which means trouble in Japanese. Her favorite spot is either any quilt I'm working on or the ironing board right when I want to use it. 😻
5. Coffee AND tea. I need at least 3 cups of coffee in the morning to get moving & the darker & stronger the better. Think dark roast or Sumatra. I love tea, especially in the afternoon. I love all things tea party related. I throw an annual Christmas Tea Party for all my lady friends so have fun collecting tea cups and all sorts of tea related paraphernalia.
6. Chocolate - is a basic food group in my world. Any kind and any form - except raisinettes. Why ruin 2 perfectly good things by combining them -yuck!
7. Always homemade. Nothing store bought can replace the love that goes into a homemade gift.
8. Bright big Gerbera Daisies are my current favorite flower. I also love violets.
9. Favorite snack is popcorn, light butter and salt. If I'm in a sweet mood, Carmel or kettle corn.
10. When I'm in my sewing room I'm most likely catching up on DVR'd shows like Grey's, Scandal, The Blacklist or one of the many Masterpiece Classics. I love party tunes and classic rock.

4. Pets? what kind & how many? None....just the grandsons that visit often and my hubby.

5. Coffee or Tea? Coffee.....flavored is my favorite.

6. Chocolate - love it or hate it? love it, especially dark chocolate. Love it....especially milk chocolate.

I am NOT in the hole..... yet. So far I'm being good, but I am in the middle of a move, so might get really bad later on. I just hope when I get to my new place (less than 1/2 the size of this one) I can remember where I put my Santa box for the three swaps I'm entered in. Twill be "interesting" if I misplace that box.

I have not been saving all year, because I did not know I would be joining. lol.. I am glad to be here though for my second time.

1. What's your favorite color? Worst color? I love bright happy colors.

2. Fabric type - Batik, solids, floral, Civil War, 30's, other? I like all fabrics, with different colors and designs, and love white on whites for contrast. I like batiks, floral and solids for contrast. I love 30's fabrics for certain projects, and I am just getting into 30's fabrics.

3. Quilting style - traditional, modern, scrappy? I like them all, but lean more to scrappy, and traditional.

4. Pets? what kind & how many? Doggies. 4

5. Coffee or Tea? Love my coffee. I keep looking for good hot tea recipes.

6. Chocolate - love it or hate it? Love chocolate.

7. Do you prefer homemade gifts or store bought? I love homemade gifts, and always need store bought items.

Hi all! I've been lurking and waiting to find out who my SS will be. I thought I was pretty thorough on my list, but it never hurts to add more to the list so whomever gets my name isn't at a loss as to what I like. So here goes!

1. What's your favorite color? Worst color? I love all colors!! There's always an application for any color and any style. That being said, I love bold bright colors (think rainbow)

2. Fabric type - Batik, solids, floral, Civil War, 30's, other? Batiks!! Yum....; Florals like smaller prints; Not much interested in Civil war; I do love 30's, and solids are good for paper piecing!!

3. Quilting style - traditional, modern, scrappy? Can I just say YES?

4. Pets? what kind & how many? CATS!! 5 indoor and a feral colony out back.

5. Coffee or Tea? both!! But decaf only

6. Chocolate - love it or hate it? Can't have any, I'm allergic! Except for white chocolate -- probably because there's no real coco in it.

7. Do you prefer homemade gifts or store bought? I adore homemade gifts, although store bought do have their place in my sewing room!

Looks like it's my turn to answer the extra questions. I love that we have so many giving the extra info. This is my third year with the Secret Santa. Have enjoyed the conversations and the hole, I stayed away from it the first year. Second year someone tripped me and I fell in. This year I'm starting early in the hole, so much more fun.

1. What's your favorite color? Worst color? For Me I love blue and purple, for fabric anything, except pink or those that look drab or muddy.

2. Fabric type - Batik, solids, floral, Civil War, 30's, other? Yes, just not loud fabrics.

3. Quilting style - traditional, modern, scrappy? Any and all

4. Pets? what kind & how many? Not any more. Had one Bichon, but he left us a few years ago.

5. Coffee or Tea? Normally Coffee in the morning and tea in the afternoon and evenings.

6. Chocolate - love it or hate it? Yes all kinds love it!

7. Do you prefer homemade gifts or store bought? Either it's the thought behind it that counts.

8. What's your favorite flower? Ones that bloom! But am particularly fond of about Lavender roses. Especially from my husband.

9. Your favorite snack? Fruit, dried or fresh and nuts or marshmallows, chocolate is a treat.

10. What's playing in your sewing area when your there? T.V., music, book? I don't have a tv in there, so it's usually music or a book on my mp3 player or the radio in the next room.
