    I think it would be too busy for a patio. I like stone, but with a natural look.

    I would probably use mostly plain ones and then use a few with a printed design randomly. I guess when too many have a picture on them they don't pop.

    No, I like a pattern made out of different tiles rather than a pattern on a tile.
