Crazy for hexes: dog bone pattern
#13
You'll never know if you don't try. Many great ideas are lost in thought and never put to practice. You are definitely accomplished at making hexies, so why not branch out and discover new patterns. Be sure and post your progress.

I am doing my first hexie but using 2" ones. How do you join them? I mean how do you arrange them for joining, I made some "flowers" but I see they need "in betweens" to make it work. I like having the hand work for evenings but whew! it is a long time project, right?

I think a dog bone would be really cute. I made a placemat for my dogs dishes one time that had a bone on it. Not out of hexies though. It was appliqued. I don't have the patience for hexies but I admire people that do. If you enjoy it I say "do it". You always do a beautiful job with them too.
