Thousands of hex papers, bolts of fabric, scissors, thread, thimbles, needles, and batting. Of course the island would have fruit and nut trees, fresh water lake and waterfall, vines to make fishing nets and a nice dry cave.

That's what your handcranked or treadled machine and the campfire are for, unless you want task lighting. Then you could probably rig up one of those bicycle generator lights-- you'd have to hook the generator part up to the handwheel and then you would need to collect local fibers/grasses to tie the light part under the arm of your machine so it aims toward your needle. I think the friction on the handwheel would probably slow your treadling and/or cranking down, but think of the muscle you'd be building...

can I be on Gilligans Island? they had everythging, then I could bring my 7 items with me.
my hex papers for sure. I made a gfg in 3 months, so i'd need a lot of fabric. a cell phone with batteries
and everything else I need is on Gilligans Island.

Welcome to the new members who have posted here.... I'm pretty sure quilting would be the last thing on my mind if I was stranded, but it's fun to see what others are posting.
