Your quilting is beautiful and I love the way you finished your block. Great work. I have seen this method for some time on the internet but need to actually start using the idea. Thanks.

This is a great idea, and your quilting does not look like just practice! I saw a video tutorial where the quilter said to put a name to your stitching, just like you have, and say it out loud while quilting. So evidently, you're doing everything right.

I'm just throwing my idea out there in case it would help others like me who have trouble visualizing a pattern on paper and remembering if they were able to do it successfully enough to put on their quilt.
OK I was wondering about that. I used to do sit down quilting on my Janome 6500 but moved up to a long arm. I have made a small quilt with different samples on my long arm but that is more like a sampler. I would love to make a small square every time I do a quilt but I do not think that would work well on a long arm. Thanks for your response. I love your quilting. Great job!

You do a great job. I like your idea. I made placemats and divided up into about 4" squares but it is a really small surface to get an idea about a pattern and to practice it. I like your idea better. I think a SAYG sampler would be great.
