Hi MarionQuilts,

I am so glad you received your wall hanging, but it was mailed from England, not the USA. I have to say I am totally impressed with both our postal services for getting it to you in such a timely manner. So the chocolate is British... very different from the chocolate they have in the USA.

Kassaundra, it certainly is a rose, but one based on Rennie MacIntosh designs.

Finally the fabric is good old Downtown Abbey, which sadly just finished it's final season over here..... just the Christmas special to look forward to now!

Hugs

Caroline

Caroline - LOL thanks for the correction re the chocolate! Still new to me LOL And it was delicious! It reminds me of Aero bars that we have here in Canada.

WOW - from England, I'm impressed too!!!!

I have to finish a WH for a friend of mine who is a teacher though - she asked for this pattern.....
Wherever did you get that neat pattern. I would love to make one and donate it to the library. Yours is really nice.

Thanks skaduzy! My friend found the picture on Pinterest. I drafted a pattern on graph paper and estimated the size.

You might all think everyone should have recieved by now but we had 2 internationals and one who left on vacation and isn't home yet.

So we are doing pretty good considering.

Anna Ube Marion and JNCT have received. And Caroline in the UK and quiltymom are still waiting. Jaba should be home in a couple of days and will check in I"m sure when she can.

I'm looking forward to seeing what you all do for the next swap!!

I'm loving what I'm seeing being received so far!!

The turkey body reminds me of the bowling turkeys I made last year out of bowling pins.

The rose WH reminds me of the rambling lines I used to play with when I was a kid. I would start a line on the paper and let it cross over and swirl wherever it went. Kind of like the celtic knots I've seen. I love the look you got with the rose Caroline!

I love all the variety we see in these and never two alike.

The package I sent should arrive on Monday, the 16th according to the tracking info I have.

Peace to all our friends in France. There are no words to take the pain of this tragedy away.
