It is more rare to get one for $20 even like that than to see someone wanting a whole lot more - maybe they think it is a bargain. Or maybe they think they can double their money on a sewing machine. Then with Goodwill Auction it wouldn't be that much unless someone else was bidding close behind. I'm thinking it goes up by $2 or $3 at a time. If you over bid it only goes a couple dollars over the previous bidder. Ssssoooooo it is more than one bidder. No accounting for it. I've seen total junk go pretty high here, too.

I don't know where people get their prices.

What am I missing on this (apparently Singer) hand crank attachment for it to bring $237.50 plus shipping?

It's the Victorian decal set. I've never even seen one of those in person.

Well, that’s good to know. Thanks. I didn't realize they were hard to find. I think that I have one of those hand cranks on my 1910 Singer 28K2 with Victorian Decals. I picked up the machine (case top falling apart) at an auction in 2007 for $1.
