Check out Pat Speth. Our guild enjoyed doing one of hers several years ago. It was worth the licensing fee.

Bonnie Hunter also has three others on her website under free patterns. One of those might work. You could break it down into more steps perhaps?

Judy who participates on this Quilting Board has done many mystery quilts. Do a search under "Mystery Train" and that should get you there. Judy's are the only ones I do. We don't have to buy any special fabrics unless we want to and they're lots of fun. I think there are 11 of her mysteries and a new one will probably start in the new year.

How about the Scrappy Swoon Quilt? It was originally done as a Mystery Quilt.

They make a big one with 4" squares. I used my 2.5" squares instead and got a large baby quilt. They are beautiful.

Have you checked with "Quilt and Needle" (http://www.thequiltandneedle.com/mysteries/) or Debby Caffrey (http://www.debbiescreativemoments.co...patterns.php)? They both do mystery quilts. In fact, a Debby Caffrey mystery is one that was used at my LQS.

Another one that my LQS uses is Border Creek Station Pattern Company(www.bordercreekstation.com).

one day while browsing the net i saw a photo of an interesting quilt -- found out it was a mystery quilt -- well i made one by looking at the picture -- it was pretty simple & it turned out nice...i think you should get some graph paper & colored pencils & try your luck!!! sometimes it's hard to follow other's directions!

I have all the blocks to one I followed on-line a few years ago. Unlike Girlfriend, I did the steps as the clues were released, just never got it all together! Good luck, Sallyjane!
