I can't give you one lick of advice about quilting it, but just to say it's beautiful!

So many great ideas! Thanks so much! The topper was the next project up but now our son and his partner are coming to visit for two weeks! They had Christmas with her family this year - taking turns. They are expecting March 20th so now I need to put a short hold on this topper until I do a few baby items that they can take home with them. So exciting!

Taking the star-points at the bottom of the panel for inspiration, what about parallel vertical lines with random star-points quilted in along the way? They could be interpreted as falling snowflakes lol.

It would be very pretty to outline the reindeer and maybe the snowflakes. Your panel quilt with the border is very pretty. Part of your choice might be influenced by the batting you chose (or choose). If you outline the reindeer you would probably like them to be puffy. Please shar with us what you finally do.

I definitely like the meander suggestions and outlining the reindeer that have already been made. I have to be honest ... I'm so mesmerized by this beautiful piece that it's hard to think of how to quilt it. I think a piano key quilting would look very nice along the borders though. Your piece is just gorgeous!
