I don't have the money to get books, but I do use the internet alot. I've learned so much from Elenor Burns, Rob Appell and Jenny Doan. The internet is my inspiration and my teachers are really great. I've learned alot from all of you ladies on this board. Love you guys.

My first quilt "book" was the Eleanor Burns Log Cabin Quilts that she self published (too long ago to remember) and I learned a ton making the log cabin -- I bought her revised version and learned even more. I like her books because she is dyslexic and she makes things so very simple. Another author I love because of her simple directions is Mary Ellen Hopkins -- she also has really good explanations.
Since quilting books are sooo expensive, I went to used book store and got some wonderful books (including a Better Homes and Gardens book) for cents on the dollar. It's surprising how many really good quilting books turn up at a used book store (most of my library has come from used book stores)
