I have 3 Singers and no real problems. Several years old.

When I first saw your machine I thought it looked similar to a Janome 6600, so hearing that it is a Janome is really neat. I have had a Janome for years, my first was a Kenmore made by Janome and it was great but with a small harp space, I used that for 10 years and then got a 6600, I still have that and got am 8900 for the wider stitches and other things. I have been happy with my Janomes for years, hope you have great luck with your machine. You will be amazed at what you can do with it.

Hi Watson,

I was wondering what you think of your machine now that you have had it for several months. I had no idea this machine is basically a Janome 6500. Another member of this forum clued me in that that in another post. Singers haven't had a great reputation in recent years, but Janome does, so I am very interested to learn more!

whats the # of your Singer. I just ordered the Singer quantum 9600 due here next week. I have always had Singers. Best machine ever. Hope this continues. I also have a Husqvarna Rose embroidery machine to get going on.

I love your posts and enjoy looking at the quilts you make. I am glad you have a new machine and I know you will have fun with all of its features. So, I will keep looking for your creative work. Just have lots of fun. Just a side note: our youngest son lives in Ottawa and I enjoy going to one of your Fabricland stores-stuff just jumps in my cart!
